There is one inbox and one person reading it. Pick the line below that fits and it will arrive with a subject already set, which is the whole of the triage system here.
What are you writing about?
- Correction
The maths is wrong
A number that does not add up, a formula applied the wrong way round, or a study cited for something it does not say. These are the highest-priority bugs on the site.
Report a calculation error - Bug
Something is broken
The tool will not load, a field rejects a valid number, the result link loses your inputs, or the layout breaks on your device.
Report a bug - Idea
Something is missing
A formula worth adding, a unit the tool should accept, or an explanation that stops short of the thing you actually wanted to know.

Anything else
Press, licensing, a question about how a figure was sourced, or a privacy request under the policy.

What to put in a bug report
Four lines are usually enough to reproduce anything on this site, and a report with them gets fixed the same week far more often than one without:
- The browser and device you were using — "Safari on an iPhone" is plenty.
- The numbers you entered, or the result link from the copy button.
- What you expected the tool to do.
- What it did instead.
If you are reporting a calculation error, the most useful thing you can send is the figure you believe is correct and where it comes from. Open the Show the arithmetic panel under your result — it prints every step with your own numbers substituted in, so we can compare the same line.
What this inbox cannot do
It cannot give you medical, nutritional, or training advice. Madhu Kinnera builds this calculator and is a software engineer, not a clinician — see about for the full statement. Questions about a condition, a medication, a pregnancy, or recovery from an eating disorder belong with a doctor or a registered dietitian, and answering them here would be worse than not answering at all.
Please also do not send health details you would not want sitting in an email inbox. Nothing you type into the calculator itself ever leaves your device — email is a different thing entirely, and the privacy policy covers what happens to what you send.
Writing in a language other than English
Write in whichever of this site's languages you prefer — the reply may be slower, and may come back in English, but the message will be read. Corrections to a translated page are especially welcome: if a sentence reads awkwardly, or a number looks wrong in your language, that is worth an email.
